Jack Cearnal spent his formative years studying space architecture, practicing cartography, and writing letters to LEGO proposing outlandish new set ideas. College catapulted the California native to Boston where a stint with the media arm of streetwear retailer Karmaloop educated him in the chaotic, if liberating, world of music video and short documentary production working on content for Diplo, Converse, Burton, and Def Jam. Nearly 10 years on the east coast sparked a desire for change, and galvanized Jack to hit the road, living out of a ’85 Ford Econoline van and gathering inspiration from remote American obscura. An 11-month journey left Jack emboldened and optimistic on the shore of Lake Michigan where the Windy City blessed him with a creative and spiritual windfall at Someoddpilot collaborating with brands such as Saucony, Merrell, Related Midwest, and Herman Miller, but it wasn’t long before he yearned to be back on the Pacific Coast. Coming full-circle, Jack returned to Southern California in 2019, joining Yeti shortly thereafter with a head full of wild ideas and more excited than ever to make awesome things happen.
